Kuehne+Nagel uses the identifier type EU_ID to store European Unique Identifiers (EUIDs) independently from VAT and Business Registration Numbers.
Currently, it is unclear whether CDQ provides dedicated data quality validation for EUID values. While the identifier can be maintained, there appears to be no validation that verifies whether the EUID complies with the official format defined by the relevant national business register authority.
Requested Capability
CDQ should provide data quality and qualification rules that validate EU_ID values according to the country-specific EUID structure.
For example, in Romania, the EUID format is defined as:

CDQ should validate that the submitted EU_ID follows the official structure defined for the corresponding country.
Ideally, the validation framework should support:
Country-specific EUID format validation rules.
Qualification results indicating whether the EUID format is valid.

Extensibility to support EUID rules for additional European countries.
Why is it useful?
Many European countries have implemented EUIDs as official business-register identifiers. These identifiers are distinct from VAT numbers and national tax identifiers and are increasingly used for cross-border entity identification.
