Explanation of the format:

The GUI Registration Number for companies consists of eight digits.

The eight digits (XXXXXXXX) represent a combination of numbers and/or letters that serve as the unique identification number for the registered company.

    We don't have clear information on this format. Researching websites you are sometimes told that it has two leading letters (including the SAP documentation), at other places only 8 digits are referred to.

    Decision is that for now we allow both formats.Our guess is that the two letters are only applicable for individuals but not for legal entities.
