CDQ services increasingly require a differentiation of address and BP types for its services (different quality criteria for different BP types, linkage only of similar types etc.).
To allow for clear differentiation the Business Partner Type and the Address Type have been introduced.
However, it should be reviewed if both are necessary since there is a certain level of redundany (e.g. a BP with type "LEGAL_ENTITY" has an address with type "LEGAL"). If both is required a DQ rule should check if a BP of a given type has the required address type - at least for sharing (e.g. a BP with type "LEGAL_ENTITY" must at least have one address with type "LEGAL", but can also have other address types). If a BP has the type "ORGANIZATIONAL_UNIT" or "BP_ADDRESS" a relationship to the next higher level must be given.
Similarily the mapping should assume a default type for BP if not specified and an address type based on the BP type (e.g. if a BP has the type "LEGAL_ENTITY" its address has the type "LEGAL" by default.)
